Friends of African Nursing / MÄlnlycke Health Care Award
We are fortunate enough at FoAN to enjoy the support of M€lnlycke Health Care who work with us to support the travel and accommodation for two Award winners to assist with the delivery of education and training in Africa.
Congratulations to 2009 Award Winner:-
Angela Konstanz, Deputy Theatre Manager, Spire Hospital , Bristol & Clinical Negligence Assistant, Metcalfes
Mölnlycke is once again demonstrating their commitment to improving levels of perioperative care by supporting FoAN and providing full sponsorship for two UK nurses to teach alongside us in Africa.
Working to support government health strategies by providing international health expertise, our primary purpose at FoAN is to deliver education and training to assist perioperative healthcare in Uganda, Ethiopia, Malawi, Zambia, Kenya, Tanzania, Botswana and Ghana.
Mölnlycke recognises that an effective way to develop African post registration education is for UK nurses to share their knowledge, experience and nursing expertise. This is why they provide an ongoing commitment to the sponsorship of two perioperative nurses to assist in annual work programmes with national and specialist organisations and interest groups, every spring and autumn.
For your chance to take part, apply now for the experience of a life time to share your knowledge with nurses in Africa courtesy of Mölnlycke & FoAN in 2010!
We ask that volunteers have at least 10 years experience within the perioperative field, are able to think outside the box; are able to cope well in difficult and unusual situations, and to have some teaching and presentation skills.
Applicants are asked to submit their CV, 1,000 - 1,500 words on why you might wish to travel with FoAN to Africa, and an outline of what professional development you think would gain from this experience. Shortlisted applicants will be asked for an interview to complete the process.
Deadline for written applications: Friday 11 December 2009
To apply or if you have any questions regarding the application process please contact Zeph Landers at Woolley PauPR
